Candy began her shooting journey when she received her CCW Permit and realized, with a ridiculously high amount of clarity and discomfort, that a day’s training and a plastic card from the Sheriff’s Office doth not a skilled and/or competent shooter make. Having been heavily influenced by her CCW Instructor on the critical importance of life-long training for CCW/CHL holders, Candy firmly believes that everyone using a firearm or carrying a firearm for self-defense must seek out and commit to engaging in quality and on-going firearms training. She also ardently believes that educated, trained, law-abiding, and skilled “good guys” with firearms make for safer communities. With this in mind, she has avidly pursued firearms and self-defense training for herself and her family, and she is enthusiastic about sharing with others the awesome training, wisdom, and guidance she has received.
